I cant believe my dA gallery has like... hundreds of pictures! I'm gonna try and send all the old ones to scraps but it doesnt seem to want to leave my gallery... "Nuu I like it here! You can't make me leave, I've just made the couch warm!" Fine then, I will delete you!
Anyone else have this problem?
I guess thats a sign I did a lot of practice.

Im so sorry for all my watchers during my spammy time period who had to put up with 2-3 crappy deviations a day! I feel your pain! Please forgive me! If it's any consolation my eyes are burning too! Slowly, whenever my net is good enough to cope with dA Im going through and cleaning it up, I hope to cut it down to 2-3 gallery pages.
[Bitching time: oh em geeee ~ i have a deviation with 103 faves and 2.8k pageviews? Oh, would you look at that it's a freakin pencil fanart I drew in 2 mins >.< The only deviation in my gallery that's any "good" as rated by the members of dA.]
So it's been about a year that I haven't been drawing much at all. I think I completed a picture every few months? Not like the old days where I was always practicing and trying out new things, I now feel like an old dog who can't learn any new tricks. Recently I've been on the prowl for drawing books... and I'm having trouble finding manga tutorials that are not "Draw a circle for the head. Now, draw in some eyes! You don't know how to draw eyes? Ok! Go to page 2 for how to draw eyes". I may have to haunt a bookstore and find the more advanced books. My friends say with a long suffering look: "why do you read that? they look like crap!" But these guys have training and experience, they know lots of little shortcuts, manga traditions, or technical information I lack. I don't know if thats enough to make me buy a set of how-to-draw books at $50 each though!
I have a short story idea I want to draw and submit to a magazine here in Aussieland, and uni will finish soon so hopefully I can get a team together to make this read and look so professional that the magazine won't turn us down. Well by team I mean ... me drawing, inking, lettering, colouring, and the digital work, 2 sisters and a friend working on the story ... lol! Better be a damn good story with 3 people working on it! Still need to draw right to left, but I figure if I draw it L>R and make it awesome i should be able to digitally flip it. We need the first 7 chapters + colour work by the end of this year.
That's just my current dream :3 Im ambitious and very cocky! Im pretty confident that if we get the amount needed by the deadline we'll get in. (Just because there isn't much competition! yay for Australia!) And if not we'll submit somewhere else! I still don't know if there's money involved, probably a tiny amount per volume sold that won't cover the hours we will put into it. That's ok, because I like publicity! (Imagines living off 4c a day... divided by 4 people ...)
I found this page on lettering for comics:
[link]I don't think it's as strict for manga, is it?

Enough procrastinating, back to uni assignments now!! :{
